Who can get access?

NID’s services are intended for:

  • the police
  • the immigration administration
  • other government agencies

We are not able to grant access to private individuals or private companies.

How to apply for access

To apply for access, you must:

  • Click the “Log in” button and select “I am a new user”
  • Complete the registration form

It is important that you use your official work email address. Applications submitted with private email addresses (such as Gmail or Hotmail) will normally not be approved.

What happens after you register?

If you belong to an organisation with a pre-approved domain (for example, the police), you will be asked to provide some additional information:

  • the type of organisation you belong to
  • a link to the organisation’s website
  • the ID-related tasks you work with
  • which parts of the service you wish to access

If you do not belong to a pre-approved domain, your application will be assessed individually. You will receive a response as soon as your application has been processed.

Two-factor authentication

To use the service, you must log in using two-factor authentication.
